Baby Lemonades Uchigatana Bijutsu (Katana Art) and Whimsical Expressions by Jax Kwok

Baby Lemonade, (Samantha Deebel), was born in Bangkok, Thailand. Her first picture storybook, made at age five, was about her grandma being a witch. Today she resides in Cape Canaveral, FL.

She defines her art as Cosmic Abstract Expressionism and her artist statement: Love and More Love.

I have always had a fascination with Japanese Culture, especially Samurais, Sumo Wrestling and Kabuki. I love watching Akira Kurosawas films and believe I was a Samurai Warrior in one of my past lives.

A friend gifted me a Katana Sword and I was inspired to pick it up one day and paint with it! I really had fun creating new interpretations of texture on canvas. My work is the result of this Cosmic Encounter with a Katana.

Jax Kwok, an acrylic artist, was born in Malaysian and studied in Taiwan. He has been featured in magazine publications and won art awards locally and internationally. At the present time he lives between Morristown, NJ and Cocoa Beach, FL.

He is always enamored with the natural beauty of his homeland geography and the distinct botanicals that thrive there. His passion and unique artistic interpretation of both the geography of the land and the many floras of the gardens, enable him to change the "ordinary" to the "extraordinary" in his expressive paintings.

I only paint subject matter which makes me joyful, because I want the final product to make my audiences joyful as well! My artistic creations exemplify the natural beauty of nature, but with touches of whimsy and the magic of fantasy.

The May Exhibition runs from Tuesday, April 30 to Sunday, June 2. Meet Baby Lemonade and Jax Kwok at the reception on Friday, May 3 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM and witness their unique creations.

We are now offering our Master Gardener class on Saturdays! Become a trained Master Gardener Volunteer to assist with special events, grant-funded research, developing and maintaining our teaching garden, conducting on-site visits for the My Brevard Yard Program, and many more projects! We are also hosting classes on Wednesdays starting January 10 - March 20, from 9 am - 3 pm.

Come one and all on Saturday, May 4th from 5-7pm for the first Intergalactic Assembly at the Field Manor Cantina. It is our mission to bring Jedi, Rebels, Warsians, Trekkies, Whovians, Browncoats, Babblers, Gateheads, Aliens, and all other intergalactic travelers together for an evening filled with out-of-this-world food and stellar drinks*.

Guests are encouraged to dress their best, as there will be prizes given for Best Warsian, Best Trekkie, Best Parody, and Most Creative. Winners will be decided by majority vote. (Costumed attendees are not obligated to participate in the Costume Contest if they would rather stay out of the action.)

All visitors to the Field Manor Cantina will leave with a gift to commemorate the evening.

Multi-talented Vicki Lawrence, is an actress, comedian, and singer known for the many characters she originated on CBS's The Carol Burnett Show, where she appeared from 1967 to 1978, for the entire series run. One such character, Thelma Harper/Mama, was the central character of ever popular television situation comedy series Mama's Family. The show still can be seen daily in syndication throughout most of the country and is available as part of a Time-Life DVD collection.



Lawrence is currently co-starring in the popular FOX-TV comedy series The Cool Kids. The series has been picked up for a full season of 22 episodes due to its Friday night success. The Cool Kids is a comedy about a rowdy, rag-tag group of friends living in a retirement community who are willing to break every rule in order to have fun. Lawrence’s co-stars are David Alan Grier, Martin Mull and Leslie Jordan.



Lawrence spends much of her time on the road with her stage production Vicki Lawrence and Mama, A Two Woman Show. She also enjoys speaking to women’s organizations and other great causes, where she shares her life story of fame, activism, and her continuing success. All the while she approaches everything with her characteristic sense of humor, reminding us all that “Life is much too serious to be taken seriously!”



Lawrence has multiple Emmy Award nominations, winning one in 1976. She is a multiple Golden Globe nominee, all for The Carol Burnett Show. In 1973, Lawrence recorded the hit song "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia." It reached Number One on both the United States and Canada top charts.



In the past, Lawrence hosted a popular game show, Win, Lose or Draw, her own daytime talk show, Vicki!, and appeared in many theatre productions. She was the only talk show host since Oprah to be nominated for a Daytime Emmy in her freshman year.

Through the years Lawrence has made appearances on other television programs, such as Laverne & Shirley, Major Dad, Roseanne, Hannah Montana, and Yes, Dear. Lawrence has also appeared with Burnett, Korman, and Tim Conway in the Burnett show retrospectives.

Baby Lemonades Uchigatana Bijutsu (Katana Art) and Whimsical Expressions by Jax Kwok

Baby Lemonade, (Samantha Deebel), was born in Bangkok, Thailand. Her first picture storybook, made at age five, was about her grandma being a witch. Today she resides in Cape Canaveral, FL.

She defines her art as Cosmic Abstract Expressionism and her artist statement: Love and More Love.

I have always had a fascination with Japanese Culture, especially Samurais, Sumo Wrestling and Kabuki. I love watching Akira Kurosawas films and believe I was a Samurai Warrior in one of my past lives.

A friend gifted me a Katana Sword and I was inspired to pick it up one day and paint with it! I really had fun creating new interpretations of texture on canvas. My work is the result of this Cosmic Encounter with a Katana.

Jax Kwok, an acrylic artist, was born in Malaysian and studied in Taiwan. He has been featured in magazine publications and won art awards locally and internationally. At the present time he lives between Morristown, NJ and Cocoa Beach, FL.

He is always enamored with the natural beauty of his homeland geography and the distinct botanicals that thrive there. His passion and unique artistic interpretation of both the geography of the land and the many floras of the gardens, enable him to change the "ordinary" to the "extraordinary" in his expressive paintings.

I only paint subject matter which makes me joyful, because I want the final product to make my audiences joyful as well! My artistic creations exemplify the natural beauty of nature, but with touches of whimsy and the magic of fantasy.

The May Exhibition runs from Tuesday, April 30 to Sunday, June 2. Meet Baby Lemonade and Jax Kwok at the reception on Friday, May 3 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM and witness their unique creations.

We are now offering our Master Gardener class on Saturdays! Become a trained Master Gardener Volunteer to assist with special events, grant-funded research, developing and maintaining our teaching garden, conducting on-site visits for the My Brevard Yard Program, and many more projects! We are also hosting classes on Wednesdays starting January 10 - March 20, from 9 am - 3 pm.

Join us once a month on Toddler Tuesday for a morning of story time and a craft!

Join us the first Tuesday morning of the month at 9:30am for story time and a craft for your toddlers! Each morning, we will be reading a horticulture-based book paired with an easy, recycled craft. Then, hit the Little Bugs Garden playground afterward! Additionally, each child will take home a pack of seeds to continue their gardening skills at home!

Cost is $5 per child and pre-registration is REQUIRED due to limited supplies and space. You only need to reserve a spot for the child(s), not the guardian(s). This event is geared towards children ages 2 through 6 years old.

Ticket includes admission, all craft materials, and a pack of seeds.

*Storytime takes place on a very large rug. If you'd prefer to bring your own blanket to lay on the rug or wooden floor, you can! This event takes place indoors in the Riley Room. Please note that length of time for this event varies. On average we gather for 45 minutes.

At Junior Jamboree we will sing, move, play, read, and craft! Children can stay for a craft related to our story or free play with new friends. Parents must be present.
